The Oxford Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre has been Recognised  by Government of India, sub-section (2) of the section 11 of IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and affiliation to the RGUHS from the academic year 2014-15.  The College Council is re-constituted as per the requirements for the smooth function of the college for academic and extra curriculum activities.

The College Council shall serve as the chief academic policy advisory body in matters relating to academic budgeting, curriculum revision and development, academic program planning, faculty personnel matter, academic standards, the graduate program, and faculty research.

The College Council shall also function as the forum for the final review and discussion of policies, procedures and practices that involve collaboration and coordination among and between the departments and divisions. The College Council shall also organize interdepartmental meetings like grand rounds, statistical meeting and clinic-pathological meetings. 

The Council shall meet as frequently as possible at least once in a month.

PHARMACOVIGILANCE COMMITTEE
The Oxford Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre has been Recognised  by Government of India, sub-section (2) of the section 11 of IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and affiliation of the RGUHS from the academic year 2014-15. The Pharmacovigilance Committee was constituted in the past as a part of academics. The main functions of the Committee shall be as specified hereinafter.

The Committee shall assess the incidences of adverse reactions to Medicines, Vaccines and Devices used on the patients in the hospital and maintain the records up to date.

The Committee shall maintain a database of all notified ADRs and shall be responsible for assessing proposals for drug trials in the hospital.

ANTI-RAGGING COMMITTEE AND ANTI-RAGGING SQUAD
The Oxford Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre has been Recognised  by Government of India, sub-section (2) of the section 11 of IMC Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and affiliation of the RGUHS from the academic year 2014-15. The academic session of the 1st Phase MBBS has commenced from September 2014. Hence it is imperative to constitute the Anti-Ragging Committee & Anti-Ragging Squad to curb the menace of ragging in the College as well as in the attached hostels, under regulation 6.4 of the MCI (Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Medical Colleges/Institutions) Regulations, 2009. Accordingly the Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad were constituted. As a sequel to the appointment of new faculty in certain Departments, it is feasible to re-constitute the Committee.

The Anti-Ragging Committee and The Anti-Ragging Squad shall strictly follow and enforce the provisions contained in the Medical Council of India (Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Medical Colleges/Institutions) Regulations, 2009 to root out and eradicate any incidence of ragging and ensure that any such occurrence does not creep within the vicinity of the Medical College and attached Hostels.

GENDER HARASSMENT COMMITTEE

The Committee shall vigorously implement the provisions enshrined in The Sexual Harassment of Women at work place (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 to protect the fundamental rights conferred.

The Committee shall meet immediately upon receipt of any complaint for its redressal and in frequent duration at least once in 3 month to review the situation prevalent to combat any act of gender harassment.

  4. Providing expert guidance by Principal, Dean, Resource Person, Senior Faculty.
  5. Conduct of Regular Clinical Meetings at monthly intervals on multiple subject topics beneficial to different specialties, stratum of medical and paramedical staff.
  6. Organizing debates, seminars, conferences, workshops, symposiums on the topics of health care, preventive diseases, surveillance programs.
  7. Hosting of publications by faculty on the college website.
  8. Sponsoring the faculty to attend training programs held by MCI.

The Committee shall perform the following accomplishment and discharge its functions mainly as detailed below.

  1. Develop, manage and maintain the Library in terms of the norms, standards and requirements prescribed in the MCI Regulations
  2. Recommendation to the Management for procurement of books, periodicals, electronic books and e-journals after inviting e-quotations and consideration thereof followed by negotiation with the suppliers/vendors.
  3. Organizing seminars, conferences, book exhibition once in 6 month for upgradation and development of library in pursuit of significant contribution for improvement of Library.
  4. Introduction of latest technologies in the Library Science like, Digital Library, Online Journals, Helinet, Library Software and other innovative networking system.

The Committee shall meet periodically at-least once in 2 months to review the effective functioning of the Library.

CURRICULUM COMMITTEE
Under regulation 2 of MCI Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997 the Graduate Medical Curriculum is oriented towards training students to undertake the responsibilities of a Physician of 1st contact who is capable of looking after the preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of medicine.

The Oxford Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre has been established with the permission of the GOI under section 10A of IMC Act, 1956 vide letter No. U.12012/560/2014-ME (P-II) dated: 18-07-2014 and affiliation of the RGUHS vide Notification No.ACA/M-69/2014-2015, dated: 24-07-2014 from the academic year 2014-15. The academic session of 1st Phase of MBBS course has commenced from September 2014.

Under regulation 2 (21) of the said regulations a Curriculum Committee in The Oxford Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre is Re-constituted with immediate effect comprising of the following and until further orders.

The committee shall take cognizance of the grievances received on two forums viz at the College and Hospital. If the gravity of the complaint or grievance is minor it could be resolved at the individual level by the concerned HOD/Medical Superintendent/Principal by referring it to appropriate authority.
 
The meetings of the committee shall be held as frequently as may be deemed expedient as and when grievances are received or at least once in a month. The recommendations of the Committee shall be submitted to the Management or referred to the concerned functionaries for immediate solutions.
