FAMILY ADOPTION PROGRAMME (FAP)
The Family Adoption Program is an initiative aimed at building strong bonds between students and the community. Each student is encouraged to adopt a family from the local community, understand their needs, and work towards improving their health, education, and overall well-being.
MBBS 3rd year students (batch 2022) participated in Family Adoption program (FAP), adopting five villages Marsuru, Madivala, Shettyhalli, Bandapura, and Agrahara.
During the program, students built strong connections with local families while conducting health assessments, including blood pressure, hemoglobin, and other basic health checks. The week featured health camps, a walkathon to raise awareness on key public health challenges, and a visit to the Government School in Marsuru, where students performed educational skits on malaria and rabies to promote health awareness among school children.
This immersive experience not only enhanced students clinical and community engagement skills but also contributed to improving health awareness in the adopted villages.
